About Plain Language and Culture
Our Mission:
We provide leadership, advocacy, training and development services of plain language and health literacy educational materials and programs for organizations and individuals that serve consumers and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. We offer these services in a manner that is culturally and linguistically sensitive and responsive to our diverse customers/consumers' needs.
What We Do:
Multilingual and Multicultural Plain Language Services: Writing, editing, reviewing and revising, materials design and evaluation, consumer presentations, audience assessment, social marketing and multimedia campaign and message production.
Multilingual and Multicultural Professional Services: Program planning, curricula development and/or cultural program adaptation, cultural and linguistic needs assessment and consumer research, diversity and cultural competency strategic planning, policy and procedures development, institutional, systems change planning and coaching and cross-cultural workshops and presentations.

PLC's vision is to become the Nation's premier provider of leadership and development of plain language and health literacy educational, messages, materials and programs for diverse audiences. Through the provision of these services, Plain Language and Culture will assist organizations and individuals in providing culturally and linguistically appropriate education and services to communities in need.
